Our firm was established in 2007 by five partners graduated from the National Law Academy of Ukraine after Yaroslav Mudry (Kharkiv) the same year (2002).

2007 - establishing of KPD Consulting Law Firm
2008 - extension of staff number to 20 employees, moving to new office 7, Kopernik Street.
2009 - extension of staff number to 25 employees, moving to new office centre VECTOR (Starokievska 10 G, B block office 210).
2010 - staff exceeded 30 employees, Chartered Accountants Services department and Debt Consulting practice launched.
2011 - three firm's practices (Corporate law M&A, Banking&Finance, Real Estate and Construction) received recognition of insternation directory the Legal 500 EMEA the first time.
2012 - Mr. Felix Haffner joined the firm as a counsel in charge of GERMAN DESK; the firm joined LEXICOM.
2013 - two firm's practices (Banking&Finance, Real Estate and Construction) were recognized among the leading practices in Ukraine by international directory Chambers and Partners Europe.
2014 - Mrs. Ekaterina Cherednichenko joined the firm as a counsel in charge of RUSSIAN DESK; the Dispute resolution practice was recognized by the Legal 500 EMEA the first time.
2015 - the Real Estate and Construction practice of the firm received top tier recognition from the Legal 500 EMEA; the practice head Mr. Valdyslav Kysil - among 10 best real estate and construction lawyers of Ukraine according to the Legal 500 EMEA та Chambers and Partners Europe; the Tax law practice was recognized by the Legal 500 EMEA the first time.
2016 - Mrs. Olena Domanchuk joined the firm as a counsel in charge of PRIVATE CLIENTS' PRACTICE.

CODE OF ETHICAL CONDUCT FOR LAWYERS
KPD Consulting
1. General Provisions
1.1. Definitions
- "KPD Consulting" means KPD Consulting LLC, KPD Consulting JSC, their employees, founders, members, as well as any persons listed on the website www.kpdconsulting.com.ua as team members;
- "Shareholder Lawyer" has the meaning defined in the articles of association of KPD Consulting JSC;
- "General Meeting of the Association" has the meaning defined in the articles of association of KPD Consulting JSC;
- "Partners Council of the Association" has the meaning defined in the articles of association of KPD Consulting JSC;
- "Public Conduct" means any action that can be witnessed by two or more people, as well as any behavior in the public sphere or in public places;
- "Public Sphere" means any media, social networks, official or private events, such as seminars, conferences, meetings, gatherings of public associations, clubs, associations, governing bodies of legal entities, public authorities and local governments, both online and offline (in person), as well as any activity and actions in public places;
Basic Principles of Lawyer Conduct at KPD Consulting
The following should be distinguished among the basic principles of lawyer conduct at KPD Consulting:
1.2.1 Professionalism
Always maintain the integrity and positive reputation of KPD Consulting in any public communication.
1.2.2 Confidentiality
Do not disclose information about clients, internal company matters or any sensitive issues related to the affairs of the company, clients, colleagues or partnership.
1.2.3 Respect
Be respectful in all discussions, avoiding discriminatory, provocative or offensive language, respect the right of others to privacy and personal space, protection of personal data.
1.2.4 Transparency
Clearly and unambiguously, without the possibility of double interpretation, separate personal opinions from professional statements in all matters. If necessary, add a disclaimer to all personal statements, for example: "The opinions expressed are my own and do not reflect the position of KPD Consulting."
1.2.5 Equality and Non-Discrimination
Adhere to high ethical standards and respect for the rights of every person, regardless of gender, skin color, profession, status or social position, any manifestation of harassment or sexism is unacceptable.
1.2.6 Inviolability
Always follow the principle of inviolability of private life and personal space of each person, any manifestation of harassment or stalking is unacceptable.
2. Sensitive Topics
KPD Consulting lawyers must adhere to high ethical standards at any moment of their professional or private life. Below are some recommendations from KPD Consulting regarding the main sensitive topics. Neither these recommendations nor these topics are exclusive and a KPD Consulting lawyer must always adhere to the Rules of адвокатської етики, approved by the Higher Qualification Commission of the адвокатури, the principles, requirements and recommendations of this code, as well as the rules and regulations of ethical conduct that are generally accepted in society.
2.1 Religion
KPD Consulting respects the freedom of worldview and religion provided for in Article 35 of the Constitution of Ukraine. A KPD Consulting lawyer in the public sphere must follow these recommendations regarding freedom of conscience:
- Avoid discussing or arguing about religious beliefs or practices that may be perceived as offensive or discriminatory.
- Do not support or criticize any specific religion, belief or conviction in your posts and speeches that are in any way related to KPD Consulting.
- Avoid using religious words such as God, Allah, Buddha, Yarilo, Archangel, Demon, Lucifer, etc.
2.2 Language
KPD Consulting respects the linguistic diversity of Ukraine, provided for in Article 10 of the Constitution of Ukraine. A KPD Consulting lawyer in the public sphere must follow these recommendations regarding linguistic diversity:
- Use appropriate language with respect for the linguistic diversity of Ukraine, including communicating in Ukrainian, as the state language, unless your interlocutor is more comfortable communicating in another language.
- Avoid provocative comments regarding language preferences (for example, Ukrainian vs Russian).
- Emphasize the language preferences of KPD Consulting and the possibility of providing services in Ukrainian, English, German and Russian.
2.3 Medical Issues
KPD Consulting respects the right to privacy regarding health status, provided for in Article 39-1 of the "Fundamentals of the Legislation of Ukraine on Health Care." A KPD Consulting lawyer in the public sphere must follow these recommendations regarding medical issues:
- Refrain from commenting on personal or public medical issues, unless it relates to your professional role and has not been authorized by the Partners Council of the Association.
- Do not распространяйте неперевірену чи спекулятивну інформацію на тему здоров’я.
- Do not manipulate your health status to achieve your goals.
- Do not show your stay in medical facilities, except for cases of being there on client issues, and subject to the client's consent and the Partners Council of the Association.
2.4 Conflicts and Disputes
KPD Consulting respects the right to freedom of thought and speech, to the free expression of views and beliefs, provided for in Article 34 of the Constitution of Ukraine. A KPD Consulting lawyer in the public sphere must follow these recommendations regarding freedom of thought and speech, as well as the free expression of views and beliefs:
- Avoid discussing politics, public disputes or other controversial issues, unless it directly relates to your professional activity, and do so as tactfully as possible.
- Do not participate in discussions or debates on topics not related to the field of law in which you specialize and which may develop into a conflict.
- In case of provocation, react calmly or completely avoid further discussion.
- If necessary, seek legal advice.
2.5 Russia's Aggression Against Ukraine
KPD Consulting condemns Russian aggression against Ukraine, which began in 2014, including the full-scale invasion of 2022. For KPD Consulting, any manifestation is unacceptable:
- justification of the actions of the Russian Federation in 2014, 2022;
- justification of any crimes committed by the Russian Federation or its combatants during the specified aggression;
- doubt or refutation of the position of Ukraine as a victim of the specified aggression;
- dissemination of any information from any sources containing the above unacceptable information.
2.6 Internal Issues of KPD Consulting
Every lawyer and employee of KPD Consulting undertakes to refrain from publicly resolving any conflicts related to KPD Consulting, not to распространяти жодну інформацію про внутрішні справи KPD Consulting, взаємовідносини в команді KPD Consulting чи особисті питання з будь-ким з членів команди KPD Consulting.
2.7 Other Sensitive or Controversial Topics
It is desirable for a KPD Consulting lawyer to avoid discussing politics, public disputes, military conflicts or other controversial issues, unless it directly relates to professional activity. Expressions on these issues should be made as tactfully as possible.
It is unacceptable for a KPD Consulting lawyer to:
- Demonstrate personal or third-party legal problems, including those related to the police or other authorities, unless it occurs in an official role and is agreed with the client (on such client's issues) or the Partners Council of the Association in all other cases.
- Demonstrate aggression, threats, violence, committing scandals, fights, brawls and other behavior.
- Demonstrate firearms, edged weapons or any other weapons.
- Express opinions regarding investigations or cases that may violate confidentiality or harm the reputation of KPD Consulting.
3. Use of the Partnership Name
3.1
Do not use the name of KPD Consulting in your personal posts without the consent of the management.
3.2
Any reference to KPD Consulting should correspond to its values, mission and image.
3.3
Avoid expressing personal opinions that may be perceived as the official position of the company.
4. Content Approval Process
4.1
Before publishing content related to KPD Consulting or sensitive topics mentioned in Article 2 of this code, the lawyer must obtain permission from the person responsible for communication in social networks or the Partners Council of the Association.
4.2
Avoid распространения фото, відео чи текстового контенту, який стосується офісу, співробітників або заходів фірми, без попередньої згоди Ради партнерів Об’єднання.
4.3.
In case of statements on any of the sensitive issues that have not been agreed upon in the established manner, it must be indicated that it is your personal opinion.
5. Reporting Violations
5.1
Report any manifestations of unethical behavior that violate your rights or the provisions of this code by KPD Consulting lawyers to our email address: ethics@kpdconsulting.com.ua, so that we can respond appropriately and prevent them from occurring in the future.
5.2
All and any appeals will be confidential and will not be disclosed in any way to those persons against whom such appeal is made, except for cases of your direct consent to this.
6. Consequences of Non-Compliance with the Code
6.1.
Violation of this Code, depending on the degree of violation, may lead to disciplinary and other measures, including:
6.1.1. Imposition of an obligation to mark the content as being the personal opinion of the person who published it;
6.1.2. Imposition of an obligation to refute the disseminated information;
6.1.3. Imposition of an obligation to remove the disseminated content;
6.1.4. Temporary suspension from performing duties in office at KPD Consulting;
6.1.5. Termination or termination of labor, partnership or other relations.
6.2.
Decisions under subparagraphs 6.1.1. - 6.1.4. are made by the Partnership Council by a simple majority vote. The decision under subparagraph 6.1.5. is made by the General Meeting of the Association unanimously, while if such a decision concerns a Shareholder Lawyer, such lawyer does not participate in the voting on this issue and his/her vote is not counted when calculating the voting results (he/she does not have the right to vote on this issue).
7. Final Provisions
7.1.
This Code is mandatory for use by all KPD Consulting lawyers, and is also recommended for use by other members of the KPD Consulting team.
7.2.
This Code comes into force from the moment it is adopted by the Partnership Council.
